In recent days, electricity supply from the national grid to the campus has become highly unstable. In addition, the on-going routine overhauling and replacement of the University generators have necessitated a measure to reduce inconveniences to students and staff.
The University authorities therefore decide to bring the Christmas break forward to allow for the completion of the scheduled maintenance. This will also enable the students to travel home before the Christmas rush.
The Christmas break therefore begins from Wednesday, 2nd December, 2015. Resumption from Christmas break remains unchanged, i.e. 10th January, 2016.
The University Calendar will be adjusted appropriately.
