A student of An-Nur Islamic College, Ilorin, has stabbed his rival to death after accusing the deceased of snatching his lover and spotted them together.
The suspect, Azeez Asaju(pictured up and right) is in his 20s and was dating one Sade Adebanji. Their relationship collapsed when Sade dumped him for Kayode Rahman.
Sources told us that Kayode and Sade had hot romance, which never cooled off ‘until death do them part’. It was during one of their romantic rendezvous together that Kayode was stabbed to death by Azeez who had been on their trail.
The incident happened on March 3, 2015 at Muyideen-Kulende area.
It was further gathered that Azeez is a cult member and belongs to Alora fraternity, and had two of his friends in the group with him when he carried out the dastardly out.
The suspect and his accomplices are currently in detention at Kwara State Police Command.
