A policeman attached to Adamawa State police command has killed a primary school pupil when he opened fire on a group of youths who were jubilating for the victory of General Mohammadu Buhari.
The deceased , Master, Abdurrahman Muhammad Jimba was reported to be among his colleagues jubilating for the victory of Buhari, when a stray bullet hits and killed him and injured another youths.
A youth Abubakar Musa who witnessed the incidence told This Day that while they were celebrating at the popular “Mai Doki” roundabout at about 9:00pm Wednesday when some policemen stormed the area and asked them to disperse before 10:00pm which they obliged.
“While we were jubilating around 9:00pm, some policemen asked us to leave the area before 10:00pm and we agreed with their request. But before we dispersed, the same group of policemen started tear gassing us and later opened fire on us resulting in the death of Abdurrahman Muhammad Jimba as another was injured,” he said.

Ondo state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has congratulated General Muhammadu Buhari on his emergence as president elect from the March 28, 2015 elections, even as he called for a hitch free Easter celebration.
The Governor while speaking with newsmen in the government house Akure on Friday urged the President elect to be magnanimous in victory and rule the country with the tenets of the rule of law as inherent in his acceptance speech.
He appealed to the newly elected president to work assiduously towards fulfilling his electoral promises to the Nigerian electorates more importantly on Change, being the key mantra of his campaign.
Mimiko who assured of his administration’s partnership with Gen. Buhari in moving Nigeria forward, also congratulated president Jonathan for his show of sportsmanship in congratulating the President elect even before the final tally of votes, describing it as a step in the right direction to further deepen nigeria’s democracy.
