The Joint Admission, Matriculation and Examination Board (JAMB) has confirmed that a total of 1,475,477 candidates have registered for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The JAMB Registrar, Professor Dibu Ojerinde disclosed this in Abuja yesterday at press conference to announce the Board’s preparation for the examination.
He also said that 208 prison inmates from Kaduna and Ikoyi prisons are also going to write the examination.
He however mentioned that the total number of candidates dropped from what it was last year which is 1,632,172 for both CBT and PPT candidates.
The examinations will commence on Tuesday March 10th, 2015 and end on Saturday 21st, 2015.
