The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) will award first degree certificates to a total of 10,920 graduands during the 16th convocation ceremony of the institution slated for Saturday, 21st March, 2015.
Speaking at the pre-convocation press conference, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Cyprian Onyeji, said that only two of the graduands bagged First Class degree.
Giving a further breakdown of the results, the VC said that 1,257 students passed out with Second Class Upper degree while 7,426 will graduate with Second Class Lower certificates. Another 2,123 will get third class and 64 ordinary pass. He added that 48 graduands had unclassified degrees.
Prof. Onyeji said the convocation ceremony is for 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 academic sessions.
The VC further stated that the university will confer its honourary doctorate degree in Public Administration and Business Administration on Sir. David Ogbodo, Mr. Nicholas Okoye, Ambassador Adamu Aliyu and Mrs. Ukamaka Anthonia Okoye.
