Oko Polytechnic
A
rights group, International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of
Law, has raised an alarm that some dead students of the Federal
Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, were awarded grades in a recent
semester examination in the institution. The group alleged that one of
the deceased students awarded marks included Late Ezeh Uchenna with
registration number FPO/SLT/ND/R1/012/038, who was given upper credit
(3.05).
In a petition signed by the Chairman of the group’s Board of Trustees, Mr. Emeka Umeagbalasi, the board wonderd why some students were being victimized over its petition. The group lamented that till date no reasonable investigation over the students’ complaints have been commenced and concluded by the school authorities over the matter. The group said that the assertion of the students that the lecturers that handled the referenced courses and exams should be compelled to tender their raw result score sheets for the purpose of verification should be commended and heeded.
