The West African Examination Council (WAEC) is in the move to adopt Computer based Test for its examinations.
The WAEC Registrar, Dr. Iyi Uwadiae while speaking with journalist during WAEC’s 20th Annual Endowment Fund Lecture held at Multipurpose Hall, WAEC International Office in Ikeja, Lagos, said WAEC is ready to adopt technology based method in conducting its examinations across West African countries.

According to the registrar, the board’s new international office in Lagos is equipped with internet facilka8tries and can site over 350 candidates per sitting, disclosing that the centre was used by JAMB in the just concluded UTME.

He further stated that the fact that the board uses theoretical questions in it examination will not stand as a major challenge in adopting CBT. However, he stated that the board is not in a rush at the moment to adopt CBT.
