The West African Examination Council, WAEC withheld results of some candidates of the 2015 May/June examination. There were promises that the results would be released in August of 2015 and yes some were released. What is now the fate of others that were not released?
Withheld WAEC Results For 2015 May/June Cancelled
NGScholars can now inform you that the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will now be holding on to results of 118,101 candidates over allegations of examination malpractice. Their examinations have been cancelled and they will have no results.
the candidates were found copying from textbooks, use of mobile handsets and prepared answers allegedly smuggled into the examination hall.
Others were aided by invigilators, while some colluded with and assaulted invigilators and another set were found to have extensively copied answers in the exam hall and in some extreme cases, candidates left the examination hall with scripts and attempted to submit the same after the stipulated time.
This information will be communicated to all affected centers which WAEC has now cancelled their results as soon as possible.
