JAMB has promised to notify candidates of their new
school/course that will enable them take part in the 2015/2016 post UTME
and admission processing. This is a way of implementing the new JAMB
policy.
According to a JAMB staff “Some of the candidates who scored
more than 200 and are being rejected for some courses, happened based on
the individual cut-off marks set by the institution for those
particular courses. In summary too many students applied for those
courses and the University can only admit a fraction of the candidates
who applied.
JAMB will therefore notify candidates of appropriate
Universities/Course they can apply for.”This simply implies that
candidates who do not meet the cutoff mark of their course in their
school of choice will sent to study same course in other universities
with lesser competition for that course. You will be notified by JAMB via text message regarding your new destined universities you have been
transfered to, a link will also be created by Jamb where you will login
and see where you are transfered to starting from August 5th, so dont
panic or feel bad about this.
JAMB new policy is to see that
best candidates in the country are admitted, even if it means posting
them to other institutions. The new policy to evenly distribute
candidates by JAMB has met heavy criticism based on the fact that forms
were sold for candidates to Change their Course/Institution.
