This
update is to inform the numerous 2015 UNN POST-UTME candidates and
parents who rely on this website for information that we are getting
closer and closer to the conduct of the post utme screening exercise
which will be followed shortly by Direct Entry (DE) Screening.
I'm aware that there are a lot of misleading and conflicting information circulating the Internet. You also need to be aware of that and be careful about where and how you get your information.
In this article, I'd be highlighting some very important things you need to know concerning the forthcoming post-utme screening examination.
I'm aware that there are a lot of misleading and conflicting information circulating the Internet. You also need to be aware of that and be careful about where and how you get your information.
In this article, I'd be highlighting some very important things you need to know concerning the forthcoming post-utme screening examination.
- The dates of the screening exercise for aspirants of various courses will be announced soon.
- The JAMB cut-off mark for 2015 has not yet been announced. Disregard any information saying it is this or that.
- Every year, UNN uses one JAMB cut-off mark for all candidates regardless of their course of aspiration. That is, if they announce a JAMB cut-off mark of (say) 180, it would apply to everyone.
- The post-utme examinations are conducted for the different courses in different sessions and on different days (usually lasts for two days). All exams are conducted at the Nsukka campus of the university.
- Now is the time to visit the website www.myportalng.com as regularly as possible. Yes, because you need to know when the registration would start and end. The registration starts shortly after the announcement of dates and ends in less than 3 weeks. So you need to get ready.
- If the school makes use of online pre-registration scratch cards this year as has been their custom, bear in mind that the scratch cards may not be effectively distributed nationwide and I'd be here to help you get yours if you have difficulties finding it in your town.
- The registration is done purely online. This implies that
all you need are your scratch card pin and a PC with Internet access.
You don't have to travel to the school in Nsukka or Enugu just to do
your registration.
- With 2015 UNN post utme screening just a few weeks away, you should be doing serious revisions now. If you have not obtained a copy of that unique, all-in-one UNN Admission Preparatory Handbook, do your best to get it as soon as possible via www.myunndreams.org. Among other things, you need to know the nature and practise the screening past questions contained in the book.
- As candidates begin to arrive the school for post-utme, the Students Affairs Department would try to provide cheap accommodation. But as you would expect, the available accommodation spaces would not take all. I'll give you more information on how to handle accommodation issues in my subsequent articles, that would be especially to the benefit of those who do not have any friends or relations staying in Nsukka. Just stick around this website.
- The weather in Nsukka (and UNN in particular) gets pretty cold this period. Don't be taken unawares by that and get fidgety in the exam hall. Get ready for that...
- For those that'd want to travel to the campus several days before the exam, don't be caught up in the delusion of thinking that you are already a student of UNN because you are not yet in until you are in. It doesn't matter how you feel about it or what anybody tells you. Stay focused and achieve the reason why you are there,
- Finally and very importantly, don't be scared or made to lose hope because of the multitudes you'd see on the exam day. Many of them are not as prepared as you are. Remain confident in yourself and trust God to crown your many efforts with resounding success.
