Kind-hearted Xie Xu has been hailed as “the most beautiful student in China” after spending three years giving piggybacks to his disabled best friend. 19-year-old Zhang Chi suffers from muscular dystrophy, a condition that affects skeletal muscle and makes it extremely hard to walk.

But thanks to Xie he has never missed a single class at their Daxu High School. Xie makes at least a dozen daily trips with his friend, two hundred days per year, he also helps him with daily tasks such as cooking and washing clothes.

Besides, Xie Xu and Zhang Chi are the top students in their class. Guo Chunxi, the deputy headmaster at their school said: “The story of the two students is so inspiring and touching.
