2015-2016 African Postgraduate Scholarships at Edinburgh Napier University in UK

Applications are ongoing for the 2015-2016 African Postgraduate Scholarships at Edinburgh Napier University in UK. Edinburgh Napier University is inviting applications for merit based African postgraduate scholarships. The scholarships of between GBP £1000 – £3000 are for entry onto a full time postgraduate programme in September 2015 and January 2016. 
Students who are domiciled in Africa at the time of application and are self-funding their course are eligible for a merit based scholarships. Applications for courses are submitted by July for courses starting in September and by the end of November for courses starting in January.
The scholarships are awarded in all subjects offered by the Edinburgh Napier University, UK and are available for pursuing full time postgraduate programme.

Eligible Countries

Students from the following listed African countries are eligible to apply for the  2015-2016 African Postgraduate Scholarships at Edinburgh Napier University in UK – Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia and Zimbabwe. 

Scholarship Value

Merit based scholarships of between GBP £1000 – £3000 for entry onto a full time postgraduate programme in September 2015 and January 2016. The scholarship amounts for applicants with the qualifications below are usually as follows:
    • Students with offers for laboratory based courses (£13,960 course fees): Bachelor degree at 2:1 or above: fee reduction of £3,000 or Bachelor degree at 2:2: fee reduction of £2,000
    • Students with offers for classroom based courses (£12,000 course fees): Bachelor degree at 2:1 or above: fee reduction of £2,000 or Bachelor degree at 2:2: fee reduction of £1,000
    Selection Criteria: Scholarships will be awarded on a first come first serve basis to students who hold an unconditional offer to their Masters programme and have made their £3500 deposit payment towards their fees.

    Application Procedure and Deadline

    No separate application is required. Scholarships will be awarded on a first come first serve basis to students who hold an unconditional offer to their Masters programme and have made their £3500 deposit payment towards their fees.
    Applications for courses are submitted by July 2015 for courses starting in September 2015, and by the end of November 2015 for courses starting in January 2016.
