TOTAL E&P Sent out messages to all winners of the 2014 Total E&P National Merit Scholarship award of the JVC and OML, Below is a sample of the email sent to all beneficiaries.. Share this post on your wall to inform your friends…
Congratulations on your performance at the NNPC/TEPNG Merit Scholarship (2013/2014 academic session). As part of the requirements for beneficiaries, please kindly make available to us your Passport Photograph, Bank Account details and an Attestation letter from your University. Please note that the said attestation letter should be duly signed and officially stamped by the designated authority/authorities.

These details should be sent to the address below (with a filled print-out of the form attached herein) via post or email. A sample guide is also attached to this document. Please follow the guide to ensure correct details are provided on your entry sheet.

Beneficiaries are advised to send copies of their documents by email as documents received via emails are processed earlier.

INFORMATION FOR NNPC/TEPNG JVA MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS


The guide lines below are requirements for above named scholarship scheme. Beneficiaries are advised to follow these guidelines (and where uncertain, beneficiaries may make inquiries via emails, phone calls, or visits to the TEPNG office pre-specified).

  1. Scholarship Awards are not transferable to any other person and non extendable beyond the duration of award.
  2. Candidates of the National Merit scholarship must be Nigerian citizens pursuing an undergraduate degree in Nigeria.
  3. At most candidates must be in their second year of undergraduate studies (Level 200) at the year of scholarship entrant examination, except candidates from medical sciences whose courses are of six years duration.
  4. Candidates must have copies of their admission letter or other supporting documents from their university to establish their eligibility for the award.
  5. The award will be granted for the Course of Study and University stated by the candidate upon application. Where a candidate wishes to change such details afterwards, he/she is advised to duly inform TEPNG in writing.
  6. Candidates must not have been earlier beneficiary of TEPNG scholarship or any similar scholarship scheme of the Oil and Gas Industry.
  7. Candidates are to have valid savings account domiciled in Nigeria, in his/her name. The approved bank for the scheme is Guaranty Trust Bank. Please be advised that any other account will not be accepted.
  8. Candidates awarded scholarship shall fill and return an endorsed ACCEPTANCE FORM, which shall be signed and stamped by their Head of Department.
  9. Candidates are to submit an officially signed Statement of Result or academic progress before subsequent payments shall be made.
  10. There shall be yearly verification of students’ data and status by TEPNG (per academic session).
  11. In cases where a candidate’s details get categorized inconsistent, candidates may formally request an update with supporting documents. For example, where a candidate wishes to change his or her name, the new or intended name should be sent with document(s) such as Birth Certificate, Court Affidavit, Newspaper publication showing “Change of Name”, and other suitable document which can be verified. The same process holds for other details of a candidate namely: Name of Course, Name of Institution, Matriculation Number etc. The table below gives a brief listing of acceptable documents.
  12. All supporting documents for the scholarship award should be duly addressed and sent within stipulated deadlines to the contact designated by TEPNG.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. WHEN CAN I CALL IN OR VISIT?
We strongly encourage beneficiaries to make inquiries via email, telephone calls, or post. However, where a beneficiary must meet with a scholarship officer, Tuesdays and Thursdays are selected days for our visitors. As much as possible, kindly verify the concern can be attended to remotely before visiting the company premises and upon such visit, do ensure that you have necessary access granted
  1. WHAT FORMAT SHOULD I SEND SCANNED DOCUMENTS?
Scanned documents should be sent as Portable Document Format (PDF) or as an image file. Files sent as images should be JPEG file format scanned at 300dpi
  1. WHAT IS THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ACCEPTANCE FORM?
Beneficiaries are advised to submit all forms within two weeks of receipt except otherwise stated. On occasion where there is/are reasonable delays outside beneficiary’s control, beneficiary may send in document with substantial proof to support reason for delay
  1. I DID NOT RECEIVE MY PAYMENT, WHAT NEXT?
While the scholarship scheme has been designed to ensure all beneficiaries despite age, gender, religion, background or person is adequately cared for; there are occasions where beneficiaries may claim a payment was not made. In such cases, beneficiaries are advised to make complaint or inquiry through the designated contacts provided in this document. All such inquiries should be sent via Email, post, or may be handled through telephone calls. Candidates are also advised to have supporting documents or information at hand during such inquiry.
  1. WHAT IF MY BANK ACCOUNT IS DORMANT?
Beneficiaries are advised to have an ACTIVE SAVINGS ACCOUNT in their name as payment to other types of account may not be successful. Kindly reactivate all DORMANT ACCOUNTS.
  1. MY UNIVERSITY WAS ON STRIKE AND I LOST AN ACADEMIC YEAR?
While we do understand that the academic calendars of all universities are not the same, the scholarship payment scheme endeavours to make payments to all students within the running academic session. In the case of loss of academic calendar year due to natural or man-made events outside the control of beneficiaries, payment will still be made for those beneficiaries with substantial evidence showing they are still students of the concerned institution(s) and within stipulated guidelines of TEPNG scholarship scheme
  1. CAN I MAKE INQUIRY ON BEHALF OF A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER?
Inquiries about scholarship should be made only by the beneficiary of the program
