The scholarship programme, known as the Agbami Medical and Engineering Professionals Scholarship (AMEPS), is being funded by Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited (a Chevron Company); Famfa Oil Limited; Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation; Statoil Nigeria Limited and Petroleo Brasileiro Nigeria Limited (Petrobras).
Thousands of Nigerian students studying Medical and Engineering courses in various tertiary institutions normally smile to their various banks, each year courtesy of the N118 million scholarship funds made available by Agbami partners, a group of oil companies.
These partners are providing 500 students of Medicine/Dentistry with N200,000 each annually, 750 students of Nursing with N100,000 each per year, 750 students of Laboratory Science with N100,000 each annually as well as 750 students of Engineering with N100,000 each per year.
The Agbami partner’s strategic support for health development is a three-pronged approach of health infrastructural development, support for basic science education and training of medical professionals through this scholarship program.
Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited, a Chevron company and operator of the Agbami Field, in its continuous support for capacity building in the health and Engineering sectors as a strategic feed into the national manpower pool, offers a number of University Scholarship Awards to qualified Nigerian students of ALL the states of the Federation.
This company always fulfill their promises by giving out to successful candidates anatm card which the will use to withdraw their cash coolly in any bank within and outside Nigeria.
Currently, 2015 Agbami scholarship scheme application is not fully out this year but we hope it will be out,probably in march.
Eligibility:
- Full-time, 100 and 200 level undergraduates from any state of the Federation, studying any of the under listed courses in universities or other relevant institutions within Nigeria.
- Qualified applicant must have scored 60% or above in the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board examination for Year 1 applicants or 60% or above in their Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) for Year 2 applicants.
- Eligible candidates shall be 1st & 2nd year students in Nigerian Universities
- An existing beneficiary shall drop out of the program if:
- Participant’s CGPA drops lower than 60% of the total score.
- Participant fails to participate in the annual verification exercise
- There is a change of course to one outside the list of eligible courses
- Participant withdraws from school
- Participant fails to meet the verification requirements.

Before you start this application

- School ID card
- Admission letter
- Birth certificate

- If you have registered and you have not completed your application click on apply then enter the email and password you used to register.

- Ensure the name used in applications tally with names on all documentation in the same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
- Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors in uploading.
- Where asked to upload photo, upload a pass-port photograph with a white background.
- After filling forms make sure you click the submit application button to apply. You will receive an email and sms that confirms your application was successful.
- Note: Multiple applications attract a disqualification penalty from the Scholarship board.
- Warning: After you have downloaded your profile for verification, you will no longer be able to make changes to details you entered for your application.
- All applicants that have completed their application for Agbami Scholarship must carry out verification of their application.

- Download your profile. Take it to your Head of Department to sign.
- Go to www.dragnetnigeria.com/agbami/verify.aspx.
- Upload scanned copy of your profile signed by your Head of department. You will receive an email and SMS that confirms that you have verified your profile.
- Note: Your verified profile will be re-certified to ensure it was signed by your Head of Department and the information on it is accurate.
