50 candidates who registered for 2015 the Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination conducted by JAMB were on Monday arrested by the Benue State Police Command for violent protest.
According to the information, some JAMB candidates numbering about 300 went to the JAMB Zonal Office in Markurdi to demand for their printouts and where told by the JAMB officials to come back after an hour.
This seems not to have gone down well with the candidates as they were said to have started throwing stones at JAMB officials and security agents.
It was learnt that the violence left a police officer, security guard and some others within the area with injuries.
This made the police to intervene in the process arrested 50 of the protesting candidates in order to calm the situation.
