Applications are invited for suitably qualified candidates for the post of Director of Medical Services in the University of Nigeria.

Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates must be registable with the Nigerian Medical Council and also must have had not less than 15 years’ experience in general medical practice, at least five of which must include administrative experience preferably in the similar institution. Fellowship of Nigerian Medical college of General Practitioners, preferably, or Postgraduate Degree in Public Health or a Diploma in Tropical Medicine, where applicable, will be an advantage.
 
 
Duties:
The successful candidate will serve as the Administrative Head of the University of Nigeria Medical Services and will also care for the health of students, staff and their families in both campuses. He must also participate in call duties and initiate Public-Health measures. He is directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
 
Salary Scale:    CONTISS 15
 
Conditions of service:
The conditions of service are the same as those obtainable in the Nigeria University System.

Twenty five copies of typewritten applications quoting relevant advertisement reference number together with twenty five copies of up to date curriculum vitae, giving the following details, full names with surname first, post desired, next of kin, date and place of birth, nationality, permanent home address, mobile phone number of children (with ages). educational institutions attended and dates, previous employers, post held with dates, present employer, status and salary, list of publications with relevant details, extracurricular activities and names and addresses of three referees should be forwarded to;

Also to be forwarded with the applications are photocopies of each certificate claimed, including the NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption from services where applicable. In order to expedite the processing of applications, candidates are advised to request their named referees to send references on them direct to the above named office. Please, note that only the applications of candidates shortlisted for interview would be acknowledged.
